A Wheel and Away

The North-East Tourism Conference, Aberdeen

Recently, I had the privilege of speaking at the North-East Tourism Conference in Aberdeen. Hosted by VisitAberdeenshire, it was a great opportunity for tourism professionals from across the region to come together and share ideas. Around two hundred people filled the hall at the P&J Live. Attendees were able to listen to a range of speakers talking about all elements of tourism in the region.

I talked about the need for greater accessibility in tourism and the steps businesses could take to make this happen.

It was a fantastic, positive day. I was heartened to see emphasis placed on the necessity of a more inclusive approach.

While there, I spent a few days exploring the surrounding area and loved everything I saw. As someone who spent her university years in Scotland, it was great to be back. I thoroughly enjoyed finding out more about what was on offer.

So, it was a great opportunity to explore this more fully with an article for Ability Needs.
