Writer for leading disability magazine
I’m delighted to say that I have recently been invited to become a regular writer for Ability Needs magazine. It is the UK’s essential journal on disability since 2001 and covers a multitude of topics relevant to the disability community.
I am going to be writing about accessible travel and am proud to be sharing space with people such as Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and Chris Woods MBE of Rights on Flights.
In this issue I have been exploring Copenhagen. Do have look at page 35 if you would like to read more. https://issuu.com/abilityneeds/docs/spring_q2_2024 .
I will be looking at a new destination each time. With a double page spread, I will have plenty of opportunity to explore the good, the bad and the otherwise about accessible travel. I have been very fortunate recently to meet some incredible providers doing lots to improve accessibility for the disabled traveller. So watch this space!
As a family, we have been lucky to travel to some fabulous destinations although, as every adventurer knows, things don’t always go strictly according to plan! As a result, it is often just as helpful to know where doesn’t work as much as the destinations that do.
However, I am hopeful that I will be able to find many gems to recommend and we can look at planning some fabulous trips.
I’m certainly looking forward to more research trips to come!!
