Huntsville, Alabama, USA

17 acres of green space make this park a beautiful place to while away some time.  There is a river running through the centre with enormous koi swimming in it.  Friendly ducks waddle around on the grass while geese can be found on the lake at the other end of the park.  There is a red bridge spanning the water which is very picturesque and lots of trees throughout the park.  Be sure to look out for the Norwegian lighthouse too!

The park plays host to many different social events including regular free public concerts throughout the summer months.  Held outside the Huntsville Museum of Art which is situated in the grounds of the park, there are generally food vans present.  Just bring a chair, settle down and listen to the music..

General accessibility information

There are several entrances to the park.  A couple are down very steep steps but there are alternative entrances which offer step free access.  Once in the park everything is easily accessible, as everything is on a flat and there is a hard path that runs right the way around.
