Shop in an American mall

No trip to America would be complete without a visit to one of the enormous shopping malls – or so my teenage daughter told me!   For our experience, we chose the Hamilton Place shopping mall in Chattanooga, Tennessee, until 1998 the largest mall in the state.

Nowadays, the mall plays host to around 150 shops from department store Dillards, to countless stores to get your discounted trainers to ethical stores such as Altar’d State.

There is also a large food court area, offering a variety of food from burgers to tacos to Chinese and more in between.

The whole mall is completely wheelchair accessible with lifts between the two floors.
