A Wheel and Away
Watching a baseball game
The guitar shaped score board at the Nashville Sounds baseball ground

See a baseball game

For that all American experience get everybody together and spend the evening at a baseball game!

We spent our first Friday night in Nashville watching the minor league Nashville Sounds playing against the Albuquerque Isotopes.  We didn’t understand the rules but no matter, the friendly chap outside the gift shop gave us a whistle stop run through the finer points on the game and we were ready to go.

There were plenty of other activities on offer too should we want a break from the action including crazy golf and table tennis.

Food was obviously fabulous and plentiful!

We watched the game at the First Tennessee park, in the pretty Germantown area of Nashville.  Opened in 2015, the stadium is a popular venue for many events in Nashville and has a signature guitar shaped scoreboard, only fitting for the club based in Music City!

General accessibility information

Access for wheelchair users was great as a separate entrance avoided the queues and the wheelchair seating offered a great view being, just behind where the batters stood.  Clearly, all stadiums will vary so it is always worth checking out before you go.
