Wheelchair accessible holiday villa on the Algarve, Portugal.  Located twenty minutes from Faro airport this lovely villa sleeps up to six people in three double bedrooms.  It has its own private pool with hoist available, but, for days out, is only ten minutes from the beautiful sandy Quartiera beach.

The region boasts something for everyone – whether you want the sports facilities and nightlife of Vilamoura, the beaches and local produce of Quartiera, the multitude of golf courses or the fabulous water parks, it is all here.   In addition, both Vilamoura and Quartiera have plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

General accessibility information

The villa has three double bedrooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms.

The height of the bed in the master suite is 60cm with room for a hoist underneath.  There are large walk in wardrobes and an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower.  There is a fold down shower chair although a shower chair can also be provided.  The toilet has a grab rail for ease of use.

The other two bedrooms are twin rooms.  Bed height in these is 55cm.  They both have ensuite bathrooms with level access showers.

There is a fully fitted kitchen and a large lounge area with a tiled floor and plenty of turning space for wheelchairs.

A pool hoist is available on request.  This can be used with either a chair or a sling.

There are local companies which can help with rental of WAV’s or cars with hand controls.  In addition, accessible transport is available for transfers from the airport and a as a taxi service.  The owners of the villa can provide assistance with this.

Both Quartiera and Vilamoura have long flat promenades which are ideal for wheelchair users.
