Visitors to Umag who use a manual wheelchair can borrow this power attachment which fits on to the front of their chair and makes light work of getting around.

Designed by two wheelchair users, the Speed 3X RS wheelchair power attachment will quickly and easily fit on to the front of almost any manual wheelchair.  It is adjustable in both height and width and the user can attach it themselves without needing help.

The battery power is rather impressive – the manufacturers claim that it can go for up to 40km on one charge.

Even better, it is free of charge to borrow from the Umag Tourist Board.  Borrowers will need to supply ID and credit card details as security.  The only downside is that it is only available to borrow during working hours which are as detailed:

Summer: Every day 9.00 – 18.00

Winter: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00 – 15.00

While not always necessary, it is probably advisable to reserve it in advance.
