I’m seriously considering buying an Aston Martin, probably a used V8 Vantage from around 2010 to 2015, and I’m trying to figure out if I can actually afford to keep one on the road. I’ve saved up enough for the purchase price, but I don’t want to be one of those people who buys the car and then can’t afford to maintain it. I’ve been doing research online, but the information I’m finding is all over the place. Some people say that annual maintenance is similar to a high end German car, a few thousand dirhams for a Aston Martin repair Sharjah service basic service and more for major services. Other people make it sound like you need to be a millionaire to keep one running, with horror stories about 20,000 dirham bills for routine work. I know that parts are more expensive than for a normal car, and that not every mechanic knows how to work on these engines. I’ve also read that some independent specialists offer more reasonable rates than the dealer, but I don’t know how to find the good ones. I’m trying to get a realistic picture before I commit. For current Aston Martin owners in the UAE – what are you actually spending per year on average for maintenance, not including unexpected repairs? And how much should I set aside for the inevitable things that break? I don’t want to stretch myself too thin and end up having to sell the car because I can’t afford an unexpected repair. I’d rather be honest with myself now than regret it later. Any real numbers or honest advice would be really appreciated.
