Had my Q7 serviced at a well known independent garage in Mussafah and noticed they used a generic oil filter that didn’t even have the Audi logo on it. When I asked, the guy said “it’s the same size so it’s fine” but I’m not convinced. I’ve read that these cars are picky about filter bypass pressure and using the wrong one can cause issues over time. A coworker who used to be a technician told me to look for an Authorized Audi Oil Abu Dhabi that only fits genuine parts and can prove it with receipts. Has anyone here actually found a place that sticks to OEM filters without charging dealer prices? I don’t mind paying a bit more for peace of mind. Also curious if they reset the oil condition sensor properly because my car still thinks the oil is old even after the change. Just tired of arguing with mechanics about why original parts matter. Would love to hear from anyone who’s found a trustworthy spot in Abu Dhabi for their Audi.
